Lodi Multipurpose Social Service Society, the official Diocesan Social Service Society is working since 1966. It has been brought to the present status through strains and struggles. It has come a long way to enjoy the credibility, good reputation and good will of the large number of poor people of Arrange and karimnagar Districts and various donor agencies.
Origin: The city of ‘Lodi’ in Italy offered to finance a model farm which could be a model for farmers, place for training and source of income. Therefore a registered society was thought for this purpose. The “Lodi Multipurpose Social Service Society” was registered in February, 1966 to give a legal backing for the developmental work. The land was purchased in Naidupet, Khammam that was part of Warangal Diocese then. It was started by Rev. Fr. Augusto Colombo PIME. Later the Society was shifted to Fatimanagar, the head quarter of the Warangal Diocese.
